A beautiful smaller size dark oak early Georgian Bureau desk.

Date - George 1 circa 1720.

The oak has a rich aged patina.

Features two small drawers over two large.

Drop down lid which rests on two pull out supports.

Inside is fitted with pigeon holes, drawers and small cupboard.

There is a hidden sunken well by the use of a sliding panel.

Original working key.

Brass handles to the drawers which have been replaced at some point in time. (historic).

The centre key lock on one of the drawers has had an historic repair.

In overall excellent condition for a true antique approximately 300 years old. Has various signs of use, scratches, marks etc. The bottom drawer doesn’t close quite flush.

The bureau can be viewed at the shop in Pateley Bridge.
