Antique 18th Century Georgian Large Dutch Carved Oak Coffer Chest
Antique period large Dutch coffer or storage chest.
Date c.1750.
Made from solid dark oak wood.
The front has ornate carving and a lock but missing key.
Stand on small legs.
The lid is made up from ridged planks which can be held open by a chain (modern replacement).
CONDITION
In overall good antique condition and sturdy. It does show signs of wear and use.
The lid has had two repairs (historic) in a triangular shape and two large cracks. There are two large indentations to the wood none of these effect the use.
There is a small amount of historic woodworm which we have also treated ourselves for piece of mind.
General knocks and scratches all over.
